ENDOGENOUS

Strengthen from Within.

Something opened during your therapy. You felt it. Now you're back in ordinary life, and the insight is real but fragile — not yet woven into how you move, think, or relate.

ENDOGENOUS was built for exactly this moment.

Frequency Resonance Return
01 —

Grounded in science.

Every track is designed around Polyvagal Theory, somatic research, and the growing body of evidence on how natural soundscapes support nervous system regulation.

02 —

Your system leads.

ENDOGENOUS doesn't tell you what to feel or what your experience meant. The tracks create conditions — perceptual, somatic, environmental — and let your system lead.

03 —

Made for integration.

The days after a significant therapeutic experience provide a period of heightened neuroplasticity, when new patterns are possible and support matters. Enter ENDOGENOUS.

For people working with psychedelic-assisted therapy, somatic practices, or processing grief, burnout, or significant life transitions. For therapists and facilitators looking for a trusted, evidence-informed tool.

The Approach

Not a meditation app. A support system for integration.

Most therapeutic breakthroughs happen inside a session. What happens after — in the days and weeks that follow — is less supported, and often where the real integration work lives.

ENDOGENOUS was built to occupy that space. Not as therapy, and not as a replacement for your practitioner. As a regulation layer, a set of audio environments designed to help your nervous system do what it's already trying to do.

The Integration Window

Research from Johns Hopkins, Imperial College London, and others has established that the period following a significant psychedelic or somatic experience is one of heightened neuroplasticity. The brain is more malleable. Patterns that have been rigid become fluid. The window is real — and what you do inside it matters.

Without support, insights tend to fade as the nervous system returns to its habitual patterns. With the right kind of support — not cognitive pressure, but perceptual and somatic anchoring — therapeutic gains become more durable.

ENDOGENOUS is built for this window.

The Framework

Four principles that shape every track.

Polyvagal Theory

Stephen Porges' polyvagal framework is the single most important lens for the ENDOGENOUS system. The autonomic nervous system moves through states — ventral vagal (safety and social engagement), sympathetic (mobilization and defense), and dorsal vagal (shutdown and withdrawal). Each of the seven tracks is designed to meet a specific presenting state and gently invite the system toward greater regulation, not through instruction, but through the qualities of the acoustic environment itself.

The voice frequency treatment in every track, warmth emphasized in the 200–500 Hz range, activates the same vagal pathway that registers human safety signals. You don't have to do anything with that. It happens beneath cognition.

Somatic Experiencing

Peter Levine's somatic work and Bessel van der Kolk's research on trauma both establish that the body processes experience differently than the mind does — and that regulation must come before meaning-making. ENDOGENOUS is bottom-up by design. The tracks don't ask you to think about anything. They offer a perceptual environment your nervous system can respond to directly.

Open Monitoring

The ENDOGENOUS tracks are designed around open monitoring — a receptive, non-directive form of awareness that research shows is particularly effective for emotional processing and insight integration. Most wellness apps offer focused attention content. This is something different: conditions for presence, not directives toward it.

Natural Soundscapes

A 2021 meta-analysis in PNAS found that natural soundscapes reduce physiological stress markers, improve mood, and support cognitive recovery across a wide body of research. The Kaplans' Attention Restoration Theory identifies natural environments as engaging what they call soft fascination — effortless, involuntary attention that is restorative rather than depleting. Every ENDOGENOUS track is built from ecological field recordings: real environments, coherently recorded, chosen for specific therapeutic properties.

What ENDOGENOUS Is Not

ENDOGENOUS is not therapy. It does not interpret your experience, provide clinical support, or replace the work of your practitioner. It is a self-guided, non-diagnostic digital wellness tool designed for use between sessions — an extension of the care you're already receiving, not a substitute for it.

All content is designed to be safe to use independently and appropriate to recommend within a clinical integration context.

The Meditations

Seven tracks. One for where you are right now.

There's no sequence here. You navigate to the track that matches your current state — and let the audio support.

Each track is approximately 16 minutes and includes a brief narration in the opening minutes, and a soundscape for the remainder. Every track ends without resolution, because integration doesn't end on a schedule.

01
Alpine Meadow · Low, Resonant Brook
Overwhelm Gravity
16:00 Soon

You're flooded. Multiple emotions, memories, sensations, insights compete for attention. The mind is amplifying rather than processing. There's too much simultaneously.

What it offers

Weight. Horizontal movement. The indifferent steadiness of a place that doesn't respond to your state. A reference point stable enough for your nervous system to orient toward.

The ground is steady beneath you.

02
Dense Conifer Forest · Sustained Wind
Hypervigilance Ease
16:00 Soon

Everything carries disproportionate weight. Sounds, sensations, thoughts — each one assessed for significance before it can be received. You're exhausted by your alertness.

What it offers

Audio saturation. The non-directional quality of wind through trees approximates natural white noise. When sound comes from everywhere, there is nowhere specific to scan.

Nothing here needs attending to.

03
Pebble Shoreline · Gentle Lapping Water
Disconnection Contact

You feel distant from yourself — emotionally flat, physically unreal, or observing your own life from a slight remove. Integration left you somewhere others can't quite reach.

What it offers

A threshold. The place where two things meet — water and land, self and world. Constant, reliable contact that asks nothing of you. A secure basis in acoustic form.

All returns again.

04
Canopy in Light Rain · Close Perspective
Lingering Shelter
16:00 Soon

Something from the experience hasn't moved through. It's present without being urgent — returning to attention without resolving. You're carrying something that won't let go.

What it offers

Containment without resolution. The shelter of a forest canopy; the rain continues while you have enough distance to breathe. Not avoidance. Enough space to be with it.

Some things take the time they take.

05
Dawn Meadow · Sparse Ecological Palette
Clouded Horizon
16:00 Soon

You can't locate what you're carrying and the uncertainty is the weight. Not anxious, more like operating in low visibility. The signals for meaning are present but indistinct.

What it offers

A dawn that holds its orientation without fully declaring itself. It creates enough room around the uncertainty to become something you're having rather than something you are.

The horizon holds its place.

06
High Desert Night · Canyon Containment
Depleted Still
16:00 Soon

The work has been sustained. You've been processing for days, weeks, or longer — and the tank is simply low. Not in crisis. Emptied. The kind of tired that comes from genuine effort.

What it offers

Restoration, not sedation. The desert night is vast enough to give a depleted system room, and contained by the canyon geometry so that vastness doesn't tip into anxiety.

There is nothing left to cross tonight.

07
Morning Campfire Ground · Early Birdsong
Re-entry Root
16:00 Soon

The processing has moved through. You're not carried by the material anymore, you're moving with it. Something has shifted and you're finding your way back into everyday life.

What it offers

Grounded re-embodiment. Fire — the oldest gathering place, completion without closure. The morning waking and a quiet confirmation that there is a place that is yours.

Roots go as deep as what has grown above them.

About

Built from the inside out.

MG

ENDOGENOUS was founded by Marc Griebel — a Calgary-based storyteller and creative director with more than a decade of experience at the intersection of systems change, narrative design, and communications.

Marc's work on ENDOGENOUS grows from a long personal engagement with therapeutic integration, a deep curiosity about consciousness and healing, and a belief that the tools available in the post-therapy window don't yet match the depth of the experiences they're meant to support.

He brings to this work a background in brand storytelling and ecological sound, a commitment to building from scientific grounding rather than wellness trend, and the conviction that good design — in any medium — begins with honest listening.

ENDOGENOUS is his attempt to build something he would have wanted: a tool that trusts the person using it, doesn't make clinical claims it can't support, and meets the nervous system wherever it is.

Company

ENDOGENOUS is a Calgary-based digital audio wellness company, incorporated in Alberta, Canada. The product is designed for use in the integration window following psychedelic therapy, somatic work, and other significant therapeutic experiences — and as a clinical support tool for practitioners seeking evidence-informed resources for their clients between sessions.

We are currently in early development, building relationships with clinical advisors and welcoming conversations with practitioners, researchers, and mission-aligned collaborators.

ENDOGENOUS is actively building its advisory network — practitioners working in psychedelic integration, somatic therapy, and trauma-informed care whose expertise shapes the design of the system.

If you work in this space and are curious about the project, we'd welcome a conversation.
